You missed a week. Now what?
Far less is lost than you fear — what usually ends things is the story you tell yourself, not the week itself.

A missed week isn’t a reset
What you built over weeks and months does not disappear in seven days. Your heart, your legs, the work you put in — most of it is still there, waiting for you to come back. A week off is a pause, not a deletion.
The damage is rarely physical
It is the story that starts up afterwards: I have broken the streak, I have wasted it, I will start again properly on the first of the month. That story is what ends things — not the week itself.
People rarely stop because they got unfit. They stop because they felt like a failure and quietly walked away.
Come back smaller
The instinct is to make up for what you missed — two sessions in a day, a longer one to compensate. Don’t. Pick up where the week before left off, or a little below it. Nothing is owed and nothing needs repaying.
Interruptions are part of it
Illness, work, a bad month, family. Every real year has them. A plan that cannot absorb them was never a plan — it was a wish.
